Rachel Harland has an LRSM in vocal teaching and studied music at Manchester University. As a postgraduate she trained in Musical Theatre at Central School of Speech & Drama and in Opera at Flanders Opera Studio. 

 

As a singer she has performed in Belgium, U.K, Australia, U.S. and Canada as a recitalist and for opera companies including Opera Holland Park, Carl Rosa Opera, Royal Opera La Monnaie and The Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company. 

As a teacher, she has given singing lessons and led workshops and coachings for Aldeburgh Music, Music in Prisons, Liverpool University, Agalin Music Camp in Thailand, Theatrical Adventures river cruises, The International Opera Academy and The Royal Conservatory of Antwerp.

During her career, Rachel has also gained extensive experience working with singing groups, founding her own choirs and directing and accompanying a range of vocal workshops in musical theatre, pop, jazz and classical styles. She now continues to develop her skills and experience, working with individuals and groups between the U.K. and Belgium including working as a singing teacher to the repetiteurs and English coach at the IOA in Ghent and is a singing teacher at Liverpool University.
